Are you a natural leader and communicator with a passion for the water environment? Come and join our friendly team at the South East Rivers Trust (SERT) working to achieve healthy river ecosystems for all across the South East of England.
We are looking for two new Catchment Officer to join our dynamic team. These roles are at the heart of achieving our vision by bringing together stakeholders and members of the community to take a catchment based approach in understanding their local river. We identify issues that are impacting rivers and catchments, and work together to find and implement solutions that will improve the health of the water environment. You will coordinate either just the Mole Catchment Partnership and lead on a large project in the catchment; or the Darent and Cray and another Catchment Partnerships and develop projects in these catchments. Both roles will also support the wider SERT Team, to implement nature-based solutions to tackle the issues in the river catchment.
The South East Rivers Trust is a member of the national Rivers Trust, a movement which is comprised of over 60 local trusts, who concentrate their efforts on practical environmental enhancement works on the ground. - Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 (pro rata for part time) commensurate with experience.
- Location: Hybrid work at home and in the office based in Leatherhead with travel across the South East, particularly South London, Surrey and Kent.
