Finance and Office Manager

This is a 0.6 FTE role (3 days per week). About the Role The Finance and Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the Aire Rivers Trust, ensuring efficient office operations, and supporting administrative functions. We are looking for someone with a combination of financial expertise and strong IT skills. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and office management tasks to ensure smooth business operations.This role is ideal for someone with a balanced background in finance and office administration, capable of managing multiple tasks, ensuring financial accuracy, and fostering an efficient and positive workplace environment. We’re looking for: We seek an organised, thorough, calm individual who can recognise what needs to be done and gets on and does it. You will have: Demonstrable track record of managing a concurrent mix of funding streams and project expenditures.Strong financial management and reporting skills and the ability to manage multiple budgets to achieve maximum value.Ability to communicate effectively with integrity, tact and diplomacy.Experience with a collaborative approach to working and leading colleagues.Strong track record of problem-solving between conflicting priorities.Experience of a collaborative approach to working and building trust throughout the team​.An eye for detail and can improve our procedures and processes to make us more efficientAn ability to manage the office supporting a team of (currently) 8 other staff.The capability to contribute more widely to the development of the Trust. Experience working for a small charity is desirable, as is some interest and experience in the environmental sector. Occasional travel across the Aire Catchment in Bradford, Craven and Leeds for events, meetings, and remote site visits may be required to support delivery in this role, so a driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential. Occasionally, the role may require working outdoors, sometimes in locations with difficult access and/​or in poor weather conditions.
