Steve is our Delivery Officer for the CaSTCo project in the East of England and supports catchment partnerships in the Wensum and Lark to further develop citizen science monitoring, ensuring community-sourced data is recognised as an integral part of environmental decision making. Steve has a background in freshwater fisheries and river management, having previously worked for the Environment Agency as an Area Fisheries Technical Specialist.

Debbie is our Regional Development Officer, supporting the growth and development of Rivers Trusts within England and Wales helping them to build their capability and capacity through regional hubs, developing funding bids and organising training programmes.

Ella is a Project Officer within the PMO (Project Management Office) at The Rivers Trust. She assists with the setting and maintaining of project management standards across the organisation, as well as providing support to particular The River Trust projects.

It’s National Tree Week, so we’re taking a moment to celebrate how tree planting along rivers brings our nation together.

Kezia is our Advocacy and Parliamentary Liaison Officer. She supports The Rivers Trust’s policy work in areas including water quality, biodiversity and land use, liaising with member Trusts, fellow eNGOs and decision-makers.

In our continued celebration of trees, we are looking at how they benefit water quality, reduce the impact of flooding, and create vital habitats.

We’re pleased to share that two of The Rivers Trust’s projects have been awarded for an Edie Sustainability award! Our Wyre NFM Investment Readiness project is up for the Nature and Biodiversity project of the year, and our Replenish project is in the running for Partnership and Collaboration of the year.

Rachel is our first IT Manager for the Rivers Trust. She supports the team and all the systems in place whilst coming up with new solutions to improve our efficiency and security.
