Big Give: Instagram Live with Alastair Humphreys

As part of our Big Give campaign and event series, we’re excited to be joined on Instagram Live with adventurer, author, public speaker, and filmmaker Alastair Humphreys.

Alastair’s adventurous spirit has led him to cycle all around the world, to row across the Atlantic Ocean, and to walk the length of the holy river Kaveri in India – to name just a few of his voyages.

In the past ten years, he has concentrated on what he refers to as microadventures – the shorter, more accessible adventures that can be had much closer to home. His upcoming book ‘Local’ documents the year he spent exploring the detailed map of the area around his home, and how there is as much to learn doing this as there is in travelling around the globe.

Alastair’s adventures are intertwined with a deep passion for the natural world, including our precious rivers. Speaking to The Rivers Trust’s Marketing Campaigns Lead Emma Brisdion, Alastair will share his inspiration and lessons learned from adventures big and small, near and far.

We are hosting this event as part of our Big Give campaign, where we are aiming to raise £75,000 between 28th November and 5th December.
