Communications Assistant

We’re looking for a great communicator to bring our exciting Access to Eden: Breaking barriers, building bridges partnership project to life. You’ll create and distribute engaging content across a wide range of digital and traditional media channels that will enthuse and empower target audiences to get closer to Eden’s rivers and nature. You’ll monitor the results to ensure that outcomes are met and refine future activity to create even more impact. This could be an ideal first job in marketing and PR as the role holder will develop valuable skills by working across a variety of marketing disciplines, including digital, PR, events, internal communications, advertising and community engagement. Finance and Grants Assistant

The Salary: £26,423 — £29,203 We have an exciting opportunity to join the South East River’s Trust’s Finance and Operation’s Team. The team supports the organisation with a broad range of financial and administrative tasks, to ensure its smoothed running, development and growth. The role would suit an individual with a financial background, who is approachable and organised, with excellent attention to detail, able to work on their own or as part of a team. The role will report directly to the Finance Manager and will provide support in administering all financial controls and processing for the organisation. The successful applicant will come from a financial background and have a strong understanding of financial principles with an accounting qualification. They will have experience in bookkeeping, reconciling accounts as well as dealing with banking, grant applications and expenses. Whilst this role focuses on the financial aspects of SERT, it will also play a key part in supporting with the set up of IT equipment, new financial systems and general IT queries, with help from our external IT supplier. To be successful, they will need to be able to multitask, have excellent communication skills and the ability to support and advise staff across all teams. They will need to have a positive attitude, be proactive and supportive in assisting the whole team with other administrative tasks as and when required. This role is predominantly working from home, with at least one day per week working in the office in Leatherhead. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a small dynamic team, sitting at the heart of the organisation, making a real difference for the environment and the rivers in the south east of England. Digital Marketing and Fundraising Senior Officer

We are looking for a proactive and passionate individual with a strong background in digital marketing and fundraising to help us bring rivers back to life. Our rivers face more threats than ever. SERT’s Working with Communities Team educates and engages local communities and other stakeholders who have the power, influence (and money!) to help make our rivers thrive again. This role will play a key part in making this happen by helping us reach more people from a wider range of audiences, and connecting them to the issues facing rivers, the solutions that will make a difference and by raising our profile in the expert delivery of them. This new role within our Working with Communities Team will develop and implement a digital strategy to amplify and support SERT’s presence through increased brand profile, supporter acquisition and engagement and donated revenue. This will involve creating and managing online marketing and fundraising campaigns for the Trust across our digital platforms that grow support for our mission, generate income, reach new audiences and promote the value of the South East’s rivers. The role will refine the Trust’s existing supporter journey to increase donor revenue making use of its established channels (organic social media, newsletter, website) as well as researching and implementing new channels such as paid advertising, SEO, online campaigns (including crowdfunding) and new social platforms. Evidence Project Coordinator

Thames21 is an environmental charity putting healthy rivers at the heart of community life. Purpose of the job: Your role is to lead delivery of various projects within the Evidence Program. Projects work closely with a variety of project partners and are focused on evidencing water quality pollution issues, identifying opportunities for pollution mitigation using nature-based treatment solutions and monitoring their effectiveness.
